4th March 2009 Windsurfing: Kanaha Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Overcast Max Speed: Distance Covered: Stonker of a morning session. 5.2 then 4.5 maxed and big chunky logo+ waves. I had to chicken gybe one set (at "kooks" Kanaha) - to give you an idea of how gnarly it was out there. Some serious carnage. Numerous trashed mast/sail combos and lots of people swimming after lost kit. Fortunately Simon and I both survived unscathed. I love my Superfreak. I was properly psyched up for more of the same in the afternoon but after lunch the wind dropped to almost zilch so we didn't even launch. Ninth consecutive planing day = a new record. :) |
